Preferred Vacation Rentals specializes in New Hampshire Vacation Rentals.  We are a New Hampshire vacation home and year around Rental Company focusing on the needs of owners and guests in the central Lakes Region of New Hampshire.  We are located on the Center Harbor/Moultonborough town line at the Northern end of Lake Winnipesaukee.  We feature properties in the communities of Center Harbor, Meredith, Gilford, Weirs Beach, Laconia, Gilford, Gilmanton, Holderness, Alton, Alton Bay, Wolfeboro, Tuftonboro, Melvin Village and Moultonboro. We also feature waterfront, beach access, New Hampshire condominiums, townhouses and country cottages available on or near Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Winnisquam, Squam Lake, Little Squam Lake, Lake Kanasatka, Lake Waukewan, Wicwas, Sargent Lake, Shellcamp Lake, Silver Lake, Lake Winona and Wakondah Pond. 

We are a family owned and managed NH vacation rental company originally a part of Preferred Properties.  In 1980 after 14 years of being under the Preferred Properties name, the founders of Preferred Properties made the decision to establish Preferred Vacation Rentals as a separate entity.  The decision was necessary as the New Hampshire vacation rental home division grew rapidly to become the largest vacation home rental company in the central New Hampshire/Lakes Region area of New Hampshire. 

From what was an original inventory of less than 30 New Hampshire vacation home properties, the company has grown to feature over 300 New Hampshire vacation rental properties available for rent by the week, month or season in addition to over 2 dozen year round rental homes.   

Through the years the company has expanded to provide linen services, furniture rentals and other items that guests traveling from far need not be troubled to bring with them.  Preferred Vacation Rentals has even gone so far as to provide officiates for weddings and services necessary for large family gatherings. 

In the New Hampshire rental business since 1976, we have listened and responded to guests and homeowners for over 25 years, providing us with considerable advantages in the marketplace.   We have long been regarded as the local experts when it comes to meeting the New Hampshire vacation home rental needs of families seeking to vacation in the Central/Lakes Region of New Hampshire.  Being the best informed about our area, the rental team at Preferred Vacation Rentals looks forward to sharing their knowledge of the New Hampshire Lakes Region area with visiting guests. 

The team at Preferred Vacation Rentals is somewhat different than what you find elsewhere.  They do not work on a commission basis.  Each team member is employed on a year around basis; they use a true team approach in making vacations a success for all who choose to place their trust in Preferred Vacation Rentals. 

The team at Preferred Vacation Rentals feels not only a dedication to the superior rental services they provide but they also feel a commitment to the community and statewide organizations within our market area.  You can find individual team members serving on local Chambers of Commerce as members of their Board of Directors, Committee members of the NH Lodging & Restaurant Association, Co-chairman of a local Historical Society, a member of the School Board and as a part of the local Realtor affiliate subcommittee. Beyond community service, team members enjoy teaching skiing; boating, dancing, mountain climbing and other water related sports. Yes, they all enjoy what the New Hampshire Lakes Region has to offer. 

Today Preferred Vacation Rentals is managed by the second generation of the family.
